Day 1: San Jose
Upon your arrival in San Jose, Costa Rica and after clearing customs and immigration, exit the airport terminal to meet our local representative, for your transfer to the hotel.
Day 2: Peninsula de Osa
Prepare for your journey to Osa! You will fly from San Jose to Drake Bay airport. Then you will be picked up at the airstrip in Drake Bay by a hotel representative for a 20 minute adventurous land transfer by 4x4 to the Drake Bay coast. On arrival at the coast enjoy a motor boat transfer to your hotel .
Day 3: Corcovado National Park
Corcovado National Park has often been described as one of the most biologically intense places on earth. The park extends over 100,000 acres on the southwest coast of Costa Rica. Your guided walk will bring you into a wonderland of ancient, steamy forests dominated by huge trees. The park is home to much wildlife including scarlet macaws, toucans, parrots, all four monkey species found in the country, and jaguars-although these shy and elusive cats are rarely seen.
Day 4: Caño Island Biological Reserve
This morning you will board a boat for a 45 minute trip to Caño Island. En route you may see a variety of marine life including flying fish, dolphins, frigate birds and whales. Caño is a forested island biological reserve with a beautiful light sandy beach and waters that protect an abundance of marine life best appreciated by snorkeling or diving!
Day 5: Flight back to SAN JOSE
From Drake Bay, you will have a scenic 50 minute return flight back to San José passing over rainforests, african palm oil, banana plantations and mountains. You will be picked up at the local airport and transfered to your hotel in San José.
